Privacy

To create an account we store your email address and a protected (hashed) form of your password. If you sign in with Google, we store the email address Google gives us and no password; Google tells us only your email and name, nothing else from your account. We use your email to log you in and to send account emails such as confirmation and password-reset links. If you buy a plan, we also store which plan you have and when it ends.

Your login is remembered in this browser until you log out.

A plan is saved to your account as you draw it, over an encrypted connection, so you can open it on another device. For each plan we keep its name, the drawing itself (walls, rooms, furniture, labels, notes, measurements and the settings you chose), a small preview picture, and earlier versions of the drawing so you can go back.

If you trace over a picture or a PDF, that picture is part of the plan and is stored with it, so it is there when you come back. It is left out of earlier versions and is never shown on a share link. Remove it from the plan if you don't want it kept.

Pieces you save to "My items" (a piece of furniture with its size, colour, label, price, notes and link) are stored in your account too. If you set up your own branding for exports, we keep the company name, contact line and logo you entered.

Plans are private to your account. You can delete any plan from your dashboard. To delete the account itself, with every plan in it, write to support@drawplans.net from the address on the account.

When you share a plan, anyone with the link can see its name, the drawing in 2D and 3D, and its comments, without an account. The link is a long random code; it is not listed anywhere, and turning sharing off in the editor makes it stop working.

Someone who comments on a shared plan gives a name with the comment. We store the name, the comment, where on the plan it sits and when it was left, and show them to the plan's owner and to anyone else with the link. The name is remembered in that person's browser so they don't retype it. The owner can delete any comment.

Choices about how the site looks, such as dark mode and the accessibility settings, are remembered in this browser and are not sent to us. So are the getting-started tips you've already dismissed and the template you last picked. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Downloads are made inside your browser: when you export a PDF, a picture, a CAD file or a 3D model, the file is built on your device and saved there. It is not uploaded to us.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details are typed into Stripe's page and go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your card number. We keep which plan you bought, when it ends, and the reference Stripe uses for your account, so the site knows you have access.

DrawPlans sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and uses no outside analytics. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page.

The site runs on Cloudflare, and accounts and plans are hosted for us by Supabase, a cloud database provider; both keep the data in the United States. The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to download them.

We count how the site is used, as plain totals: how many visits there were, which pages were opened, which site a visit came from (for example "google"), and how many visits reached steps such as creating a plan or downloading a file. No cookie is set and nothing is stored on your device for this. The totals are not linked to you or your account, and they are not shared with an analytics or advertising company.

We don't sell or share your email address or your plans with anyone, and we don't use your plans for anything other than showing them to you and to the people you share them with.
